The Salvation Army sets goal for Red Kettle Campaign

Rochester Business Journal
November 8, 2012

The Salvation Army of Greater Rochester announced goals of raising $560,000 and attracting 10,000 volunteers for its 112th Annual Red Kettle Campaign.

After surpassing its goal last year for the first time since 2005, Salvation Army officials are optimistic for this year.

“The volunteer bell ringers during the Red Kettle Campaign are as critical as the actual donations are to the success of the campaign,” said Randy Orr, captain for the Salvation Army of Greater Rochester. “Having a family chair the campaign is a great way to encourage the community to start a tradition with their families and give back to people in need.”
