Full-time female workers in New York earned 85 percent of what their male counterparts made in 2011, 1.6 percent decline from 2010, data released Monday by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics shows.

Median weekly earnings for New York women was $760 last year, compared with $894 weekly for men.

The 2010 and 2011 percentages are the highest since the BLS began compiling the data, Chief Regional Economist Martin Kohli said.

Nationwide, women earned $684, or 82.2 percent of what men made, in 2011.
