Balance Engineering technology in use at VA campuses

Balance Engineering LLC placed two Equilibrate System technologies at the U.S. Veterans Administration’s Hudson Valley Health Care System for use at its Castle Point and Montrose campuses, the Henrietta firm said this week.

The Equilibrate System supports clinical assessment needs for physical performance and balance research, and also will be used at the VA’s Hudson Valley complex for concussion management and balance therapy training for military personnel, officials said.

“Having these Veterans Administration hospitals purchase our Equilibrate System gives them the most modern technology as far as understanding balance with a deeper level of granularity of clinical objective measurement,” Balance Engineering president Michael Compisi said in a statement.

Balance Engineering in September sold the technology to the U.S. Navy’s special warfare command.
