Willie Nelson will headline the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival 12th Edition, organizers announced Tuesday.
Joining Nelson as headliners are Pink Martini, David Byrne & St. Vincent, Bob James and David Sanborn with special guest Steve Gadd and Rodger Hodgson, the voice of Supertramp.
All performances will be at 8 p.m. at Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre.
Organizers said this year’s headliners represent a range of musical interests.
"We are excited to bring a diverse lineup of legendary headliners to our 12th edition celebrating many styles of creative improvised music," said John Nugent, the festival’s co-producer and artistic director. "This headliner series has a very high level of musicianship, second to none.
“There are also many very strong songwriters this year, and they have been around for decades, including our legendary hometown drummer Steve Gadd, who will make his premiere appearance at XRIJF with his long-time colleagues."
There is still one headliner yet to be named, Nugent said.
Tickets for the concerts range from $40 to $125 and go on sale starting Friday at rochesterjazz.com. Tickets are also available for one day only at the Kodak Hall Oval Lobby Box Office on Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
