Carestream Health Inc. has won a contract to supply 35 Norwegian hospitals with digital imaging equipment and picture-archiving systems.

The contract inked with Norway’s Helse Sor-Ost regional health authority is to be rolled out over eight years with the first phase extending to five of the eight trusts making up the Helse Sor-Ost region, said Lars Karlsson, head of Carestream’s Nordic and Baltic Region.

The Helse Sor-Ost regional authority encompasses 56 percent of the Scandinavian country’s population and covers eight trusts, including Norway’s capital city, Oslo.
