Eastman Kodak Co.’s board has named its new chairman, succeeding CEO Antonio Perez.

James Continenza has been appointed chairman, effective immediately. He has been a Kodak director since April. Perez remains a board member.

“Kodak is a company poised for growth. I look forward to providing leadership as the company realizes its potential as a technology company focused on the packaging, graphic communications, and functional printing markets,” Continenza said in a statement.

Continenza is a director at Tembec Corp. and serves on boards in the packaging, media/digital advertising, biofuels and network telecommunications industries.
