MVP to pull out of New Hampshire market

Rochester Business Journal
October 16, 2013

MVP Health Care plans to quit New Hampshire, MVP officials said Wednesday.

Its pullout from the New Hampshire market would occur in stages and would not affect its New York or Vermont business, the company said.

The Schenectady-based MVP is the Rochester region’s second largest commercial health insurer. It entered the New Hampshire market in 2004. Granite State subscribers currently account for less than 1 percent of its more than 600,000 subscribers, the company said.
