Replacement selected for Warren on City Council

Rochester Business Journal
December 16, 2013

Rochester City Council has selected Michael Patterson to replace Mayor-elect Lovely Warren as Northeast District representative until the November elections, officials announced Monday.

Patterson, a Democrat, is in his second year as 29th District representative in the Monroe County Legislature.

City Council President Dana Miller planned to submit legislation as a message of necessity sometime Monday to make Patterson the official nominee for the vacant seat, he said.

Council members will vote on the legislation during their meeting Tuesday, Miller said.

The November election will determine who fills the rest of Warren’s current term.
