Wells Fargo to close office, eliminate 25 jobs

Wells Fargo & Co. will close its home mortgage office in Perinton in April, with 25 employees to lose their jobs, a filing states.

The San Francisco-based bank, in a filing Thursday with the state Department of Labor, cited economic conditions as the reason for the closure.

The Home Mortgage Northeast Retail Fulfillment Group office is at 179 Sully’s Trail. The closing date is April 22, the filing states.

The home mortgage office is separate from the bank’s Wells Fargo Advisors LLC office on Pittsford-Victor Road in Perinton.
