February 25, 2014

TW Telecom Inc. has appointed Debra Swann as vice president and general manager of the company’s Rochester division.

The managed services provider expects Swann’s 15 years of telecommunications experience to help her launch growth in Rochester.

In her new role she is responsible for supervising and supporting the growth of the Rochester market, as well as revenue, operation plans, marketing and brand awareness initiatives and lead generation programs.

Prior to joining TW Telecom, she worked Level 3 Communications Inc. as vice president of segment and solutions marketing. She previously worked for Xerox Corp. as the local digital service product manager and as vice president of Global Crossing Ltd.’s global segment marketing.

“TW Telecom is well-positioned to continue its market leadership in an industry facing rapid transformational change that will require innovative solutions,” Swann said in a statement. “I look forward to helping the company achieve its goals, grow its team and provide our customers secure, scalable and predictable network connections.”

The company, founded in 1993 as a joint venture between US West Inc. and Time Warner Communications, serves markets nationwide over its own facilities, with more than 27,000 route miles of fiber and in excess of 16,000 on-net commercial buildings connected. The company has its headquarters in Littleton, Colo.
