Home Properties Inc. has started some $3 million in renovations to its Stone Hill Apartments in Brookhaven, Pa.

Formerly called Camelot Court, the apartments were purchased and renamed by Rochester-based Home Properties in November. The 205-unit apartment community was built in 1971. It includes 11 three-story apartment buildings.

The renovations will be done over the next years. Interior work has begun and includes upgraded kitchens and bathrooms. The company plans to improve lighting, plumbing and electrical services. To date, 20 apartments have been renovated and up to 60 are projected for completion this year.

Home Properties owns four additional apartment communities in Delaware County, Pa., where Stone Hill Apartments is located, and a total of 18 communities in the Philadelphia area.
