Black Button Distilling eyes statewide distribution

Rochester Business Journal
April 4, 2014

Black Button Distilling plans to double its production of craft spirits soon and distribute them statewide by the end of the summer, the company said Friday.

The distillery on Railroad Street near the Rochester Public Market has added two fermenters and increased its chiller capacity to boost production, officials said.

Black Button is Rochester’s first grain-to-glass craft distillery, making whiskey, vodka and gin. (See slideshow.)

Jason Barrett, president and head distiller, opened the business in January.
