The village of Mount Morris will get state funding of $433,500 to restore the New Family Theater, and Kraft Foods Inc. will get $125,000 to build a new production line in Avon, Empire State Development Corp. officials announced Friday.

The 75-year-old New Family Theater has been abandoned and deteriorating for years, but will benefit from a Restore NY III grant to restore the building, officials said. Total project cost is $563,500.

The Kraft planty in Avon has been the sole producer of the company’s Cool Whip product since 1995, and recently added a production line for its Lunchables line of food products. The $125,000 grant will increase production capacity for Lunchables by 50 percent, officials said.

The ESDC board of directors on Friday approved grants totaling $7.7 million.
