Muesli Fusion Inc., an all-natural and organic cereal company, is open for business on Atlantic Avenue, founder and President Ian Szalinski announced Friday.

The company makes 14 muesli cereals made from raw whole grains, dried fruits, nuts, seeds and sweets from its production site at 875 Atlantic Ave., Szalinski said.

“Our lease began Jan. 1 and then it took several weeks to get everything set up,” Szalinski said of a process that included inspections and building inventory.

Sales began Feb. 26 at the Rochester Public Market, with shipments to selected grocery stores beginning in early March, he said. The cereals are now shipped to 16 groceries in three states.

“My goal is to have more people eating a healthy breakfast,” Szalinski said. “There are limited healthy options in area grocery stores, and Muesli Fusion fills this void.”

Szalinski, a native of Buffalo who now lives in Rochester, was graduated from SUNY College at Geneseo in 2010.
