Two local colleges have earned rankings on the U.S. News & World Report’s annual ranking of top business schools in the nation.
The Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester saw a jump on this year’s list to No. 37 and the E. Philip Saunders College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology was ranked No. 94 overall.
The Simon School moved up eight places from No. 45 last year, one of the biggest moves on the list, school officials said. The survey also ranked Simon No. 14 in finance, No. 20 in accounting, and No. 41 for part-time MBA education.
The ranking underscores the school’s strategic plan to build on its level of excellence, said Mark Zupan, Simon School dean.
“It is gratifying that Simon continues to be ranked among the premier business schools in the nation,” Zupan said.
