Work was scheduled to begin Wednesday on construction of a brew house at Genesee Brewing Co., officials said.

A partial building permit has been granted for the project at 25 Cataract St., officials said. The brew house will include a museum, a microbrewery, a restaurant and a store.

Brewery parent North American Breweries Inc. wants to demolish two connected buildings at 13 Cataract St. as part of a proposed redevelopment of a vacant 112-year-old structure at 25 Cataract St.
The company is seeking a second permit to demolish the buildings at 13 Cataract St.

The $2.6 million project is scheduled to be completed in August.
