Twelve local employers will receive 2012 Wealth of Health Awards for their efforts to encourage and support wellness among employees.
 
Now in its seventh year, the Wealth of Health Awards program honors companies that foster a healthy workplace through a mix of programs and policies. It is co-sponsored by Excellus BlueCross BlueShield and the Rochester Business Journal.
 
Honorees were judged on the creativity of their initiatives, active participation, ability to effect measurable improvements, sustainability and program outcomes.
 
The award luncheon is scheduled for noon to 1:30 p.m. June 14 at the Hyatt Regency Rochester. Rachel Carmen, senior health project coordinator for Well U at the University of Rochester, is the guest speaker.
 
Employers slated to receive awards are grouped into four categories by size. And this year, for the first time, a Best in Show honor will be given.

1-199 employees:

200-499 employees:

• Lawley Insurance
• Rochester Midland Corp.
• SentrySafe

500-1,999 employees:

• Arc of Monroe County
• G.W. Lisk Co. Inc.
• Ontario County

2,000 and more employees:
 

• Monroe County
• Unity Health System
• Verizon Wireless
