Gannett Co. Inc., owner of more than 80 newspapers, including Democrat and Chronicle and USA Today, said Monday its senior vice president and chief financial officer has resigned.
Computer Sciences Corp., an information technology services company with headquarters in Falls Church, Va., announced Paul Saleh as its new vice president and CFO on Monday. He joins the firm May 23.
Saleh joined Gannett in late 2010. The company has named Michael Hart, vice president and treasurer, as interim principal financial officer until a permanent CFO is appointed.
Saleh said he was grateful for his time at Gannett; President and CEO Gracia Martore praised Saleh for his contributions.
“Paul played an important role in ensuring the company’s financial strength and implementing our ongoing focus on asset optimization,” said Martore, in a statement. “We appreciate his contributions to Gannett, and we wish him well.”
