Rochester’s Pier 45 has been selected as one of the Top 100 Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in the U.S.  by OpenTable, an online real-time restaurant reservation service.

To create the list, OpenTable compiled nearly 5 million reviews on its site made by diners between May 1, 2011 and April 30. More than 15,000 restaurants from around the country with a minimum number of qualifying reviews and “outdoor dining” listed as a special feature were eligible.

Pier 45, which is located at the Port of Rochester, was the only Rochester-area restaurant to make the list. Overall, there were four restaurants from New York State. California led the way with 36.

OpenTable lists Pier 45 as contemporary American dining. The restaurant has a rating of 4.1 stars, out of 5, on the site.
