Kaman Industrial Technologies Corp., a subsidiary of Connecticut-based Kaman Corp., announced Tuesday it has completed its acquisition of Zeller Corp.
Zeller is a controls and automation products distributor founded in Rochester more than a half-century ago.
The Rochester Business Journal reported in mid-August that Kaman Corp., a publicly traded company with 4,800 employees and sales of $1.5 billion in 2011, had agreed to purchase Zeller.
Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Zeller has its headquarters in Rochester and offices in Buffalo, Syracuse, Foxboro Mass., and Winston-Salem, N.C. Zeller has 240 employees, with approximately 180 in Rochester. The company expects sales in 2012 of approximately $80 million, officials said.
Zeller CEO Gary Haseley told the RBJ that the deal is intended to help Zeller grow. Haseley, who has joined the Kaman subsidiary’s executive management team as Zeller’s vice president and general manager, said Zeller will remain headquartered in Rochester.
