NON-PROFIT REPORT: The Coordinated Child Development Program

The Coordinated Child Development Program Inc. has provided early childhood education in Ontario County since 1973. Its seven programs serve more than 300 children and their families.
 
The organization has expanded substantially since its founding. Its initial programs in Canandaigua were housed in the Canandaigua United Methodist Church on Main Street and the Fiske House on Wilcox Lane. These programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-age children moved into the new Canandaigua Early Childhood Center in 1996. That center is now licensed for 149 children from 6 weeks to 12 years of age.
 
In 1989, CCDP opened Our Children's Place in Clifton Springs in collaboration with the Clifton Springs Hospital. That facility now is in the educational wing of the Clifton Springs United Methodist Church and is licensed for 136 children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. A Head Start program also is available at this site, and CCDP manages the universal prekindergarten program for the Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District.
 
In 2010, CCDP added Children's Place, a school-age program at the Gorham Elementary School in Stanley.
