Non-profit organization Alternatives for Battered Women Inc. has named a new CEO.
Jaime Saunders, who had served as associate director at the Center for Governmental Research Inc., was appointed to the post by a unanimous vote of the ABW board of directors.
Her role at CGR brought Saunders in close contact with non-profits, philanthropic foundations and local governments, ABW officials noted.
“As a community leader in the area of domestic violence, ABW is excited to have Jaime Saunders at the helm as it enters the next phase of our service to the Rochester community.” said Chris Beato, ABW board president, in a statement. “Her experience in the areas of fundraising, operations and strategy will be tremendous assets to ABW as we look to the future.”
Saunders also has served as development associate and special events coordinator at St. Joseph’s Villa of Rochester and chief operating officer at Foodlink Inc. At Foodlink, Saunders was responsible for overall agency management, human resources, program development, grant complains, marketing and fundraising.
