New York’s producers of wine, beer and spirits now have a single point of contact with state government for regulations, licensing, incentives and information.
The one-stop shop announced this week by Gov. Andrew Cuomo is at www.esd.ny.gov/NYSBeverageBiz.
The website provides a single list of incentives, grants, loans and special permits available to beverage producers through state agencies, administration officials said this week.
Staff from state agencies involved in regulating manufacturers and licensees will work with the site to answer questions, host education and training seminars, and resolve problems.
They include the New York State Liquor Authority, the state Department of Agriculture & Markets, the Department of Taxation and Finance, the Department of Labor, the Department of Environmental Conservation, the Department of Health, the Department of Transportation, the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority and the New York Power Authority.
The Empire State Development Corp. established the site and will maintain it, officials said.
The site was created in response to suggestions made during Cuomo’s wine, beer and spirits summit in October 2012.
“With this one-stop shop, the days when our state’s beverage producers have to navigate a complicated bureaucratic process to find answers to their questions are coming to an end,” Cuomo said.
