In a lobbying push organized by the Healthcare Association of New York State, health system and hospital officials from around the state on Wednesday urged Albany lawmakers to roll back recent Medicaid cuts.
Based in Albany, HANYS is a trade group representing more than 500 non-profit hospitals and nursing homes.
Steps the group urged include:
“We must invest health reform savings back into the delivery system and clear regulatory roadblocks that stifle innovation if we are to fulfill the promise of higher quality, lower cost care,” HANYS President Daniel Sisto said.
Lawmakers meeting with the health care officials included Assembly minority leader Brian Kolb, R-Canandaigua.
