New Jersey’s Department of Human Services’ Medicaid Division signed a $76-million contract extension with Xerox Corp. to continue managing health care benefits for NJ FamilyCare, a federal- and state-subsidized health insurance program that provides access to affordable health care for uninsured children.
Under its extended contract, Xerox will upgrade the program’s communications with citizens and implement new, cost-efficient processes for simplifying enrollment.
Xerox has supported NJ FamilyCare since 2005, processing applications, managing eligibility and enrollment, and operating a customer service center. To promote enrollment into the program, Xerox also conducts local outreach programs on behalf of NJ FamilyCare.
“Our priority is to partner with New Jersey to support as many NJ FamilyCare members as possible,” said Kevin Walsh, senior vice president and managing director of eligibility and insurance exchange services, government healthcare solutions at Xerox, in a statement. “That includes both encouraging people to enroll in the program and simplifying the experience—from application through enrollment.”
