A sports performance training business co-owned by former Rochester Americans and Buffalo Sabres hockey player Rory Fitzpatrick has opened a training facility in Perinton, with summer programs to begin June 3.
Next Level Strength and Conditioning’s 5,000-square-foot facility is connected to the Thomas Creek Ice Arena on 80 Lyndon Road, representatives announced late Thursday afternoon.
Fitzpatrick, an Irondequoit resident who played professional hockey for 15 seasons, owns Next Level with Nathan VanKouwenberg, a physical education teacher and hockey coach in the Victor Central School District who serves as Next Level’s head strength coach.
The June 3 summer group sports performance programs include college and pro sports, high school varsity and college, high school junior varsity, middle school and youth.
Each focuses on functional strength, power, agility, speed, core strength and balance, flexibility and conditioning, representatives said.
