Manning Squires Hennig Co. Inc. has been named construction manager and general contractor for Graham Corp.’s $2.6 million building and renovation project at its corporate headquarters in Batavia.
In its role, Manning Squires Hennig will coordinate all aspects of the project, including design and construction. The project includes the construction of two buildings and the renovation of an existing structure.
The two new structures are a 13,600-square-foot building—expected to be complete in February—to house X-ray equipment that Graham uses for welding-related quality-control procedures, and a 14,800-square-foot building to be completed by May that will house manufacturing equipment. In addition, the company will renovate an existing office building.
Manning Squires Hennig has a team of some 20 employees committed to the Graham project. The company broke ground on the building that will house Graham’s X-ray and quality-control equipment in November, and expects to start work on the other two buildings in January.
“We’re thankful for the opportunity to provide Graham Corp. with construction services on this schedule and quality-sensitive project,” said Gary Squires, Manning Squires Hennig president, in a statement.
