At-large representative Loretta Scott was to be elected president of Rochester City Council during its organizational meeting Thursday, replacing Mayor Lovely Warren.
Council also was set to elect at-large member Dana Miller vice president, a statement from City Hall said, and Hazel Washington was to be appointed city clerk during a swearing in ceremony, replacing the retired Daniel Karin.
Washington has been deputy clerk since March 2009 and acting clerk since Karin’s retirement this week.
Miller served as acting council president following Warren’s resignation shortly after winning the mayoral election.
Scott, Miller and fellow at-large members Carolee Conklin, Matthew Haag and Jacklyn Ortiz were to be sworn in to four-year terms following victories last November.
The meeting was slated for 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
