Kodak Alaris on Friday announced it has named a chief executive officer for Kodak Alaris Holdings Ltd.
Interim Chairman Steven Ross said Ralf Gerbershagen has been named CEO effective April 1. Gerbershagen completes the new company structure and will lead the transformation of the Kodak Alaris business worldwide.
“Ralf is a recognized leader in both established and growth businesses, and brings an unparalleled commitment to innovation, change and customer needs in the dynamic mobile industry,” Ross said in a statement. “With Ralf’s leadership and experience in creating new businesses in the enterprise world, combined with our strong resources and management talent, we are well poised to lead the development of breakthrough products and services that our customers expect from the diverse Kodak Alaris businesses.”
Gary Fisher, Kodak Alaris interim human resources director; Phil Gibbons, chief financial officer; Dolores Kruchten, president, Kodak Alaris’ Document Imaging; and Dennis Olbrich, president, Kodak Alaris’ Personalized Imaging, will report to Gerbershagen, who reports to Ross.
The new CEO joins the company from Motorola Mobility, part of Google Inc., where he held several leadership positions including managing director of Motorola Germany GmbH and vice president and general manager of Motorola Mobility Europe.
Gerbershagen will be based in the United Kingdom.
Kodak Alaris became independent of Eastman Kodak Co. on Sept. 3, when Kodak completed the sale of its Personalized Imaging and Document Imaging businesses to the U.K. Kodak Pension Plan.
The sale included a perpetual license to use the Kodak brand and the transfer of research and development and IP for each of the acquired businesses. The new company launched with $1.3 billion in annual revenue and 4,700 employees in some 30 countries. The company employs roughly 700 people in Rochester.
