Circulation Sales Assistant

This position supports the circulation department and is responsible for sales, marketing and general customer service for RBJ products. Candidate is expected to sell a variety of products to businesses to attain assigned monthly goals. Sales will be accomplished using a mix of print and online advertisements, direct mail, email and telemarketing. 

--Applies knowledge of company products and services to efficiently provide customer service for print, online and digital readers.

--Sales of subscriptions, publications, databases, photographs, and article reprints.

--Grow, audit and maintain email, subscriber and sales databases.

--Develop marketing and promotional campaigns for RBJ products.

--Update and maintain web, online photo gallery, e-commerce, social media and digital editions pages

Strong attention to detail, excellent organization, and superior communication and sales skills are necessary.  The successful candidate will have a strong desire to achieve sales goals and a flexible attitude to work on a variety of projects. Knowledge of online and email marketing concepts desirable.

Preferred qualifications include 4 year college degree or 2 year college degree and 2 years of applicable experience, previous telemarketing/sales skills, excellent customer service skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Account Manager - Display Sales
The Rochester Business Journal is accepting applications for the position of Account Manager. Rochester's premier weekly business newspaper is looking for the right candidate to represent the weekly print paper as well as its online products. They should be dynamic and creative and have no reluctance to prospect or call on top-level management of major businesses or corporations. Responsibilities include account development, identifying customer needs and full-service marketing.

Candidates should have two to three years of sales experience and strong written, oral and presentation skills. Computer skills and experience in media sales is a plus.

Salary plus commission

Account Manager - Inside Sales

Responsible for selling classified, marketplace, and legal notice advertising space by performing the following duties: prospects and calls on new business, follow up with customers on exisiting contracts to place ads, gather ad content from customers, work with productions staff to design ads for customers as needed, review final copy of ad layout. Salary plus commision

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or up to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
